. Skaget in Winter

 Every year one million or more snow geese winter in the skagit valley near Laconnor, Wa. About 30,000 of them were feeding next to Fir Island Road and a number of them would take off periodically, fly a short distance and return to the feeding area. I waited until a group flew in front of the Cascade mountains so I could take the image with a relatively rare blue sky as background. Picture was taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel and Canon 28-135 mm lens at f32 at 1/100 second.
