Based upon past years, I scheduled a visit to the tulip fields near Mossyrock in mid-April. However, I just talked with someone at DeGoede Nursery (da-go-dee), which operates the tulip fields, as well as a display garden the size of 2 Olympic swimming pools, large greenhouses and a retail store. She suspects the tulips won’t be ready until 4/22, due to our colder than normal temperatures.
She indicated that the tulip fields aren’t located in the best place for photographs this year (but she’s not a photographer). The fields are near the cemetery, which might also provide photo ops.
There is a 20-minute walk to the top of a hill that might also provide some opportunities. For those willing to do so, I told her we’d provide her with some of our photos – for a photo credit.
I need to give her a count. We talked back and forth about whether tripods are allowed. I’ll check again when I call to give them a count. Please let me know if you would like to attend. I led a photo trip around 6 years ago and it was great – way fewer crowds than the Skagit fields.
